Luis Caputo - put in as Argentine Economy Minister by former President (and Trump pal) Mauricio Macri mainly because he was a personal friend.

He was (is) also a known money launderer with offices in Miami - in a building just two stories down from JP Morgan's South America office.

When his debt bubble burst, JP Morgan had the uncanny good timing of unloading all Argentine bonds at 20 pesos per dollar; the peso was down to 40 just five months later.

Caputo quit, and fled to Miami, at that point (Sep. 2018). And Argentina has been grappling with a foreign debt crisis ever since.

"Mess(i) of finance": Luis Caputo (left), with then IMF director Christine Lagarde and other Macri officials.
