Native American sues Indiana prison over religion

By Associated Press

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A Native American is asking a federal judge to order the state to allow him and others to exercise their religion in an Indiana prison.

Daniel Littlepage says in a class action lawsuit that Native Americans’ worship ceremonies were terminated at the Miami Correctional Facility in 2013 because there were no outside volunteers to lead them.

However, the lawsuit claims that the commission tasked with recommending such volunteers hasn’t met since 2007.

Littlepage’s lawsuit says the prison is violating his constitutional religious rights.

Who don't believe in ANY religion have a right to not have our government be sued over "religious rights". You're in PRISON!!!!!

Your life does not "need" it to stay alive. You can't eat it, or drink it. Not needed.

You don't need to vote to stay alive, either. Women can stay alive as chattel to their husbands, slaves can stay alive if they please their masters, anyone can stay alive even if their reading matter is censored or taken away.

Not a valid criterion.

The view you express here seems decidedly unprogressive.
