Caitlin MacNeal
NOVEMBER 16, 2016

A Republican state representative in Georgia on Tuesday introduced a bill that would restrict women's ability to wear a burqa or veil in their driver's license photo and in public places, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

in driver's license photos if we all hid our faces behind veils, would there. I would support a law requiring faces to be visible, without mentioning veils or burquas. Probably most state DMV's already have regs requiring that. They already make you take off sunglasses, visors, etc. I hope nobody drives with a veil covering their eyes!

Do we think that everyone should be identifiable in public? Or should we all have the right to hide our identities (possibly from facial identification cameras) when we appear in public?

I understand removing the face veil for a photo ID, but a head covering does not obstruct the face.
