Supreme Court Justice Alito: Gays treat conservative Christians as bigots

https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2017/03/supreme-court-justice-alito-gays-treat-conservative-christians-bigots/

The U.S. is entering a period when its commitment to religious liberty is being tested, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito told an audience Wednesday at an event sponsored by a Catholic lawyers’ organization.

Alito used his own words from his dissent in the Supreme Court’s landmark same-sex marriage case, telling the gathering he had predicted opposition to the decision would be used to “vilify those who disagree, and treat them as bigots.”

...

“A wind is picking up that is hostile to those with traditional moral beliefs,” Alito said.

The speech was sponsored by Advocati Christi, a group of Catholic lawyers and judges who seek to “provide an opportunity for lawyers learn about the Catholic faith and Catholic social teaching and to help them integrate these into their life and practice.”

They change, at one point in the history of Alito's church it was a moral belief to tie someone to a wooden stake, pile oiled kindling around them and then set it on fire! It was also a moral belief to torture Jews to renounce their beliefs, convert, and then execute them, to save their souls!!!

Alito's church is still controlled by those who protected pedophiles, which can only mean that child molestation is still a "traditional moral belief", of the Catholic church, if not publicly, at least behind some closed doors!!!

I don't see how you can command people not to call bigots bigots. That seems weird.

And unless you can otherwise convince me that believing in mythology devoutly isn't inherently immature, then I don't see what's wrong with treating them with kid's gloves.
A wind is only picking up against those with traditional beliefs because the information age is making people more informed and in response the religious right is picking up a wind faintly smelling of the Taliban.

Calling anyone who exposes their bigotry "anti-catholic bigots"

Just to remind everyone, calling out and standing against bigotry is not a form of discrimination, it's Justice.

You see this all the time on the internet, even Trump fans have picked up on this tactic and try to label liberals as the intolerant ones.

Marginalized groups are the "real" oppressors in their world and they're the victims.

If you believe it's acceptable to restrict the rights of others because you think they're less deserving, inferior or less human than you are then you're a bigot.

Very common, like flipping the script, and the classic "When did you stop beating your wife?" line to set up the other side as the bad guy, no matter what the truth is.
