A person can be both an agnostic and an atheist, since one deals with what a person believes, or does not believe, while the other deals with what a person can or cannot, in principle, know.

An honest theist can still be an agnostic if he/she admits that while believing in god, he/she has no way of knowing if that belief is justified.

I use the term atheist to describe myself because I tend to think of "god" in the Biblical sense, which is a patently ridiculous deity, so I positively, actively, definitely believe that the Biblical god most certainly does not exist.

If you back me into an epistemological corner, however, I would have to cop to being an agnostic. I believe that I (or anyone else) cannot know whether any thing that could reasonably called "a god" exists or does not exist.

It seems Democrats do what Christ (who did exist) seemed to want.

Feed the hungry, heal the sick, take care of the least among us.

Exactly the opposite of the Republican Platform of helping the wealthy rob the less fortunate.
