BARTOW | An atheist accepted a plea deal today on charges of resisting officers last year when he was protesting prayer before a Polk County School Board meeting.

Polk County Judge John Kirkland sentenced John Albert Kieffer to a year of probation as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.

Kieffer, 62, pleaded no contest to resisting an officer without violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

A trial was scheduled to begin next week.

he should wander over to Polk County to disrupt their School Board meetings, on the grounds that the meetings were violating his rights

John Albert Kieffer of Hillsborough County does not seem to me to be a clear-headed thinker
