What is the intention of the religious group here and how does this thread contribute positively?

and that would make you a bigot
and that would be against the nature of this website LET ALONE the good and decent foundations of this group
and that might have to be decided by a jury (foregone conclusion)
and that should make you ashamed of yourself
and why are you even here if that's all you're going to do
and why is your avatar a stapler? Are you trying to make fun of religion or confuse people?

but you didn't...
so it's different...
right?

But I guess it works differently for different people with "special rights" to make fun of fellow Christians.

What I really like is they are one of the few mainline denoms to only baptize adults. I don't see the point in baptizing babies. I've never been to one of their services though, which is a little funny because I live very close to one of their churches (it's actually where I vote).

Humorous assumptions about anti-christs aside and other idiocy aside, "Non-denominational" is far more aligned with the Assembly of God than it is with the Baptists. I should know, I was one for many years.

When the church split when I was a teenager, a whole lot of people ended up at the AOG down the street because that church's views meshed so well.

The joke here is that a lot of churches that preach essentially Baptist theology are "non-denominational" because they won't affiliate with any Baptist association (like most megachurches), but it refers to pretty much church that doesn't. The whole emerging church movement is definitely not Baptist or AoG-esque and they too are mostly non-denominational, so is the church that some people I know are founding that is self described as progressive and LGBT-affirming. There are churches close to the Assembly of God that are non-denominational too, like the one you were involved in, but saying non-denominational churches are all aligned with something else is like saying independents mostly lean Democratic or Republican, an independent can to be to the left of the Democrats, right of the Republicans, some mushy centrist, agree with one of the parties more but dislike them for other reasons, have politics that don't fit well on the spectrum, etc.

Nearly every non-denominational church within a 50 mile radius (and there were many, many NDCs) was an AOG clone with smaller buildings and shittier music.
