I figure they want to really stick it to the Americans for being the first to bust loose with scandal in a big way, and if the guy can't fix the mess with the abuse of children, the rapes of nuns by priests elsewhere around the world, and the fiddling/diddling in Ireland, Italy, and other locales as well, to say nothing of the Vatican Bank scandals waiting to drop, why not give it to the American and then say "See? See? It's all HIS fault!"

If I could buy a second ticket I would go with the old fart from Milan.


Who knows who they'll pick, though--how can anyone read what those fellers are thinking?
