Strange dream I need insight about.

I was at an airfield with an old friend. He was on an airplane, about to go somewhere with his daughters. All of a sudden, he and a daughter started getting upset, because they thought the airplane might be broken or sabotaged.

I went over and talked to them while mechanics from the airport checked things out. In the end, they said things were fine. My friend seemed to feel better. When he got back on the plane, which then took off successfully, I wished him good luck. Twice.

I did feel a sense of relief as he left, as if some significant problem had been resolved. As if he was going to be fine. Although...I also felt that I was sending him off on a great journey, even though the plane trip itself had felt like a normal vacation up until that point.

Egh. I'm freaked about the dream, because my friend is older than I am, not in the greatest health, and under stress. No one's, um, picking up anything about him, er, making the Great Transition based on this dream, are they?

It seems like a very positive dream, as though you are offering some tangible or intangible support to him.

It's just that um, well, er...my friend has an above average risk, I think, of dying in a plane crash. He's a pilot himself, still flies alone sometimes, and has a history of risk taking. Nothing crazy or self destructive, but who knows. So I worry about him occasionally. And yes, I recognize that this dream could be mostly about my own fears.

That Steve Appleton crash could have remnants floating around our collective unconscious.

My tarot cards say the death card indicates a change not usually a physical death.

and think about what this friend *represents* to you. It's possible that the answer to that will give you insight into what part of *your* life is undergoing a transition.

Gestault? Hope you know what I mean. But that type of therapy says to put your self into each character in the dream and tell the story from that point of view to help sus out the meaning. Even the plane ie I'm the plane people wonder if I am okay to be a vehicle for transport, there may be mechanical problems that could make me crash and take people with me. Like that.

it's often a useful technique for understanding dreams. My partner takes it a step further and 're-experiences' the dream over and again through the point of view of each major person and symbol in the dream - trying to really 'feel' the dream from each point of view.

Even if the symbolism is strange the feelings are often coming from real life concerns. Hope this helps blueiris figure out the meaning. And she shares the insights.

Do not take the dream as a story line. Dreams are not linear.
Each thing you remember (in order of importance) needs to be freely translated to what that thing, feeling, event, person, might mean to you. Just write them down as separate things and next to them put your equivalent thought of that thing. Then look at it in whole again after you have done that. It may not have much to do with your friend but rather something else, someone else, yourself, etc.....I would even set the list aside for a day or two and then look at it again with fresh eyes and emotions.

I feel it represents YOUR feelings about what is happening in our country right now. The friend is our society. Plane is our govt/institutions. Mechanics are those who will be helping to get to a new society. Friend & daughters represent OWS & women upset over Komen situation (broken/sabotaged). Our moving to 5D will be a great journey & a successful one, if not a challenging one. We will be fine. Most of America thought we were having a big party until the last few years, then things changed. You are a spiritual assistant/bridge for others who are journeying to 5D.
My sense of it, but I could be way off base, especially if you feel it is about him.

Sweet Dreams, my dear BlueIris.

And I am concerned about the state of things, what will become of us all, especially if my fellow citizens, including my friend, continue to be placed in danger.
