I just did a job at a Univ science building. I noticed that they were a lot more safety conscious than I remember being.
Back in the day, my Dad (high school science teacher) would beg for an exhaust hood every year. But they couldn't ever find the money for it. When he retired, the school had to install one in order to get someone to take the job. Now he has asthma and other breathing issues.
