Scientist Confessions #OverlyHonestMethods

Samples (no, I don't know if any of these are genuine confessions):

"blood samples were spun at 1500rpm because the centrifuge made a scary noise at higher speeds"

"Reagent became unavailable in 2002 because nobody wanted to order more and risk being added to terrorists watchlists"

"The samples incubated at ambient temperature in a remote border customs office for 5 months"

"Synthesized according to standard methods" = "Purchased from CalBiochem"
"Typical results are shown" = "The best results are shown"
"Thanks to Joe Blow for expert technical assistance and Jane Doe for valuable discussion" = "Joe Blow did all the work and Jane Doe told me what it meant."

Even though it's done by very fallible people, it still works pretty well most of the time. How can you not love that?
