(14,732 posts)of one getting bitten by a Puff Adder while trying to kill it, one of Africa's deadliest snakes. The badger to all intents and purposes appears to die from the bit in short order. However, after several hours have passed it miraculously comes to and then and immediately ambles over and resumes snacking on the snake. Unbelievable.

(111,257 posts)if they want people to see these amazing critters in a zoo is to make an enclosed habitat that the honey badgers will want to live in, coming home after an escape because it's easy living with no predators.
I wouldn't want to live in that grotty cement jail, either.
There are two animals zookeepers use to test cages: honey badgers and orangutans. Turn your back on a honey badger, it just ups and leaves. Turn your back on an orangutan, it dismantles the cage.
