"Particle Fever"

is now streaming by NetFlix. I started to watch it last night. It's an excellent popularization of the search for, and discovery of, the Higgs boson at CERN.

The movie includes polemics against the SSC by some idiots in the US Congress. If it hadn't been canceled, the SSC would probably have found the Higgs . Shame on us for electing so many idiots to Congress.

Particle Fever on iTunes.

Huge kudos to Mark (who went to grad school in physics before becoming a filmmaker) and David (who did a brief stint as an undergraduate film major before switching to physics) for pulling this off. It’s great for the public appreciation of science, but it’s also just an extremely enjoyable movie, no matter what your background is. Watch it with a friend!

that people can watch "Particle Fever" on iTunes as well as Netflix. For a long time, it was available only in certain movie theaters. Sean Carroll and many other critics agree that this movie is not to be missed.
