Based on OLED technology and implemented by means of a printing machine, a new method allows for patterned and flexible light-emitting surfaces on advertising displays, info signs and lighting fixtures, for instance. The method also enables transparent smart surfaces to be attached to window panels or packaging.

Think of it being used on houses for Christmas displays. Hang up some sheets of it tied to a controller, quit worrying about all of those tangled strands of lights. Or create your own 'indoor windows' in windowless rooms by tying it to a camera somewhere.

Just be glad they're not pushing this one as a new weapon.

There's a prototype billboard in coastal Peru that generates potable water from humidity. That is the better billboard and one that California needs to be looking at.
