I think I'm beginning to see the beauty in Christianity.

It's like a buffet. You can pick just those god-given commandments, moral codes, and acts that fit your own life and ignore all the rest. You can even decide to whom those codes and commandments apply and to whom they don't. Like adultery and lying. If you're into either, it can be just fine to break the Ten Commandments, but you're free to condemn gays to hell. You can demand impeachment for some office holders who dally with young women, and elect another to office.

in a haze of self righteousness as you vigorously condemn all the sins you're never really that tempted to commit.

Bonus points if somebody with a pompadour has "saved" you, meaning your ticket to heaven is punched as long as you keep giving lip service to Jebus, no matter how many commandments you shatter before you die.

And then molds their god in their own image. As proof of that, we can note that no one believes in a god that has different opinions than they do.
