We continue our look at the comic book publishing empire of Oral Roberts. After the 19 issue run of True Stories, the title was changed to Junior Partners. The focus of these issues was geared to the younger audience and featured a variety of stories. This issue, which can be read in its entirety here: http://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=33851 includes the beginning of Oral Roberts biography. Here we learn the cause of Oral's fixation. He believes that God healed him of tuberculoses, so he dedicated his life to swindling people of their money by conning them into believing that God can heal them if they send him cash. His previous run of Comics featured several stories of miraculous healing, and this issue continues the tradition. I love how the opening editorial makes the case that Jesus loved the outdoors.
