Some of you may have noticed that I've gone on a purge.

For those who cannot access the Forum and Group hosts section (sorry for those blind links in the locking messages), MarkCharles threatened a fellow DU'er in PM, repeatedly, and then proceeded to troll around the site calling that DUer out in several posts that have now, thankfully, been hidden by jury decision.

His behavior was atrocious, and my concern is that he may reincarnate himself and attempt to go dumpster diving in our group.

Please feel free to express your feelings about this situation and this decision in this thread. I, and the other hosts, are always happy to welcome your feedback.

1. His actions are completely uncalled for

The host in question was only the host for a few hours (and had just a few hours before written the thread expressing her excitement at being the new host). If she made an error (and I don't think she did) in locking one of his posts, then he could AT LEAST be civil about it. I'm glad the Admins PPR'd him.

His behavior was just ridiculous and inexcusable. If we could wipe out all of his existence here to bring some peace of mind to the host in question, I'm fine with that too.

Surprised me a bit though. Could get testy at times as can many of us, but hadn't pictured him as the truly nasty stalker type.

I agree MarkCharles behaviour was outrageous, and I think the MIRT was right to ban him (and I expect admin will say the same, if they haven't already). However, I don't think much is gained by locking all the threads he started, and then kicking others so they appear back up above those (which was the reasoning behind kicking so many, as far as I can tell).

If he had tried to restart conversation in those threads with a zombie ID, I think it would have stood out - and there'd have been a good case to show to the MIRT that the ID should have been investigated for being a zombie.

I've had my suspicions about him for some time now.
It's onething to not take insults from theists, and another to be outright dickish.

I was happy to see this post from you regarding him.
