Funny church marquee: "You feed your body, we'll feed on your soul." (dial up warning)

Just down the street from me is one of those odd-ball fundie churches. They have the full on tent revivals every fall, and they're one of those denominations that are just too crazy for regular christians so it's a pretty small congregation.

The church marquee has the usual idiotic and hateful messages you see from extreme sects, and it's changed on a regular basis to reflect the hate du' jour. Last week, they changed their sign to read "You feed your body, we'll feed your soul." The next night, someone added the word "on" to the sign, dramatically changing its meaning. I had to do a double-take to make sure I'd read it correctly. Unfortunately, it was changed back before I got a chance to take a pic of it.

For your enjoyment, some funny church marquees from the intertubes: (note: I have no way of knowing which of these are real and which are chopped. Also, some were never meant to be funny, but are.)

why God and Lucifer contend so vigorously for them.

H P Lovecraft has a marvelous take on it. Remember the whippoorwills?

I believe the origin of the belief can easily be traced back to Egypt.
