When you see how much the Christian right has become popular, it is a given. Hell, I have been thinking of ways to make my fortune on these rubes, er, I mean good Christians.

Phone book! What a missed opportunity!

They could have been ripping the Mahabharata in half (I can hear them now..."the wha'???&quot

or the Koran... in big type....

There used to be a "Christian Karate" school near my house.

It closed down.

Christian Karate! Turn the other cheek so I can kick the shit out of it!

9 WWE Wrestlers Who Exploited Religion

In May 1998, Dustin Rhodes stated that it was the end of Goldust, and he burned one of his costumes on Raw. His rebirth provided him the opportunity to then go by his given name, Dustin Runnels, addressed the edgy WWF product by promoting alternatives to watching the show such as reading the Bible. His vignettes were tongue in cheek as they were endorsed by the group known as, the “Evangelists Against Television, Movies and Entertainment”, (E.A.T.M.E.).

I once worked at a company with a religious owner who hired them to come do a lunch-time show. (they were in town to do a big show at the arena and had time for side gigs I guess) Employees were encouraged to attend but not required. Those of us who stayed in the break area smoking and laughing were taken note of.

A few weeks ago I told my husband I had noticed a HUGE number of new programs which seemed overtly religious, almost exclusively Christian in nature. Of course, most are marked with one star or less...who knew?! I also noted a rise in conspiracy based programs too. There are have always been a few, but there are definitely more now. One positive trend I also saw was more GLBT themed movies geared toward the African-American community.
