One Pulse patron told a TV reporter that, "Every day I leave the house I pray to God to keep his hand on me," and he thinks that this saved him from being slaughtered. All I can do is shake my head at the ignorance (and occasionally scream at the TV). You fucking left the building before the shooting started!! DUMB FUCKING LUCK! Do you really think that God made you leave early so that everyone else would be slaughtered? What an over-inflated sense of worth. I guess none of those people who were killed were praying to God - that same God that many believers insist all gays be put to death because of their being gay.

People cannot face the fact that random chance controls most of life on earth.
