This was a jaw-dropping scene from June 8th, 2019, shortly after the Goodland, KS supercell was able get rooted in the deeper moisture on the nose of a strengthening low-level jet. These sets of sequences were taken from near the Winona to Russell Springs, KS corridor. #kswx

It has been quite a few years since I drove through Winona, Kansas. I had to stop and take a picture of the sign since my Grandmother's name was Winona. From my memory that grain elevator was Winona, Kansas. Whatever else there is there was not visible from the highway. Just a little blip in the road, population 162. Cool to see it mentioned
