Update: No cancer!

Last edited Tue Jun 15, 2021, 04:39 PM - Edit history (1)

Update: finally got my biopsy results and no cancer

NASH is the diagnosis, so I'm going to keep making healthy life changes.

Thank you all for your support through this. I appreciate the kind thoughts more than you know.

...........................

It's been a week today. Im trying not to worry, but this seems like longer than it should take.

On another note, this health crisis has forced me to evaluate my lifestyle. I have drastically changed my diet and am journaling again.

The yard needs mowed, but I'm still not feeling very well. I get completely exhausted just taking my dog out.

It's so high, as I look out the window I expect a lion or tiger to appear.

Anyways, hope you all have a happy weekend. Take care of yourselves and stay out of trouble.

Please do that if you haven't. Sometimes things fall through the cracks, or maybe it will alert the doc that your results are late. It's hard to be worried for that long.

The line has been busy. Im gonna try again throughout the day.

It's hard not to feel insignificant right now. It seems like either the doctor has forgotten me or the lab is getting second opinions on a bad diagnosis.

Either way, the waiting has put me into a kind of "freeze".

However, if it's a PATTERN that they are slow to respond, seem curt on phone calls, etc., you may want to look for a new doctor after this crisis has passed. There are doctors' offices that are just disorganized and have bad personnel, too. Ain't nobody got time for that!

OTOH, it’s been my experience that the longer they take, the more likely it is to be benign. Even when they sent my biopsy out for another opinion, they called to say I had cancer before the second opinion came back. I think they want to get those surgeries scheduled ASAP.

I hope you get good news, and your worst fears are put to rest. sending good thoughts your way.

If it's bad news, treatment will kick your ass for a while, but it's still not as bad as sweating out results.

These things always seem to end up at the end of the week. So we have to sweat it over the weekend, worrying. I know several people, including myself, that this has happened to.

Hang in there bsm, it's difficult but try to relax as much as you can.
