top 1% of 1%. So basically he's going to raise taxes on everyone.

There's nothing wrong with his plan and we'll probably be at that point in 10 years but we don't have the BROAD public support or a political landscape that would allow this to happen NOW. We have a Republican Congress NOW. We will probably get the Senate back in 2017. But that means we'll have a divided Congress with Republicans maintaining control of the House.

HRC has a better understanding of the process and the political landscape. Voters who support HRC are more realistic and pragmatic. They expect her to maintain the progress we've made under PBO and build and expand on it.

This is why #ImWithHer, HRC

Speculation trades tax on Wall St.
Healthcare: Medicare for all
Will eliminate the private insurance costs and also costs for business.
Yes individual taxes will increase but check your medicare tax on your payroll decuction and this tax will only increase by a small percentage.
Bernie will also require taxes paid on off shore banks accounts by the billionaire class and this will be a huge amount that will offset any taxes for the middle on the medicare for all.

The problem with Hillary she does not have specific plan
You mentioned a Republican Congress, well wouldn't you agree that Bernie Sanders will take with him coat tail wins for progressive congressman and this will be a beginning.

So you see that Hillary and Chelsea's 1.5 Trillion healthcare.
was nothing but a lie.

You mentioned a Republican Congress, well wouldn't you agree that Bernie Sanders will take with him coat tail wins for progressive congressman and this will be a beginning.
Republicans have control of the House through gerrymandered districts. PBO addressed this issue in his SOTU. The only way this changes is if white GOPers vote for the DEM running in their district.

We are more likely to regain the Senate and most of those Senators will be going with HRC.

Chelsea may be campaigning for her mother but she will not be on any legislation her mother manages to get passed thru Congress. It will be Hillary Clinton's legacy, not her husband's or her daughter's.

Healthcare plan? I know she wants to build on ACA, but how much will it cost and what exactly will she build on and how? Well Lets take a look at her website:https://www.hillaryclinton.com/issues/health-care/
Hmmm I don't see any numbers like the one she's asking for. Also notice that Heading: Affordable Health Care is a basic human right. Wonder where she got that from?

Thu Jan 14, 2016, 04:56 AM
Jan 2016

Compared to Bernie, she has very little experience with it. He understands it inside out because he has been working with it for a quarter of a century. She's the newcomer, not him.

And you do realize that until Bernie entered the race she didn't have ideas, plans, and policy positions? Somehow she comes up with all these positions that don't sound like anything she has ever talked about previously. It seems as though she has paid "advisers" who write them up for her to suit the political exigencies of the moment.

How is she pragmatic? Because she's in the pocket of the big banks and major corporations? Does that make her "pragmatic?" Was busting up Libya pragmatic? Was the war with Iraq pragmatic?

I do not regard her as a natural followup to President Obama. They are very different in a number of ways. She's far more militaristic than him and evinces very little caring for the common people. She doesn't seem to have any ideals beyond her own wealth and power. She adores the 1% and admits to serving Wall St. as her constituency. Obama has had to cooperate with the 1% but it's always in negotiation, never with the enthusiasm that Hillary has for them.

This new Howard Dean adjective for Hillary is a joke. Since when is siding with Insurance companies, Big Pharma and Wall St. against the middle class considered "pragmatic" a Democratic /Liberal principle? That's not pragmatism, it's greediness. That why she's doing it. It's all for the Big Money $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Wages have been stagnant and things are falling apart to create the ILLUSION of a bad economy so workers won't ASK for a raise and employers can use the "times are tough for everyone" excuse.

Well guess what....

The average family makes about a 1.6" stack of $100 bills.

In one year alone Bill Gates made a stack of $100 bills that would go 30 miles high into outer space.

39. Yep. And that "short stack" usually means two or more jobs in the family.
Thu Jan 14, 2016, 04:09 AM
Jan 2016

In the family of one of my relatives, it's two for him and two+ for his wife.

He has a master's degree. All he could get were two part-time gigs, where he is theoretically an "independent contractor," so no benefits. Two part time jobs in two different cities, so double the commuting and stress.

She's very smart and extremely hard-working and efficient, but an immigrant, so her English is heavily-accented. Even Starbucks would not hire her because of the accent. All she could find was a job (full time) in a laundromat, where she gets paid "under the table." Her other job is also illegal" cooking for other people out of her home kitchen, which is not legally approved for that. She also maintains an apartment in their basement, which they rent out when they can find a tenant. Their house is probably not a legal two family, now that I think of it.

They grow what food they can in their yard, both for themselves and for her catering business, but they live in Connecticut, so short growing season.

5 or 6 jobs between the two of them, not counting the back yard "farming," but no sick days, no health insurance, no retirement benefits, nada, nothing, zip, zilch. They almost lost the house in 2009 and will soon need college tuition for their son. My relative is barely fifty and he's had a stroke (mild, thank heaven) already. I think it was stress related. We all live in fear that he will become disabled because the family really needs his income and, of course, he has no disability insurance.
