Bernie Sanders is Now the Democratic Frontrunner, by One Pissed Off Liberal, Daily Kos Jan. 14

Perennial underdog, Jewish socialist grandfather and ultra-long shot presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders, is now the Democratic frontrunner.
The opposition has mocked, ridiculed and told outrageous lies. Why? Because the truth is not on their side. I suppose we should be grateful for their attacks.
------
- Clinton Attacks Produce Windfall of Campaign Cash for Sanders -

Hillary Clinton’s new barrage against Bernie Sanders, the Democratic presidential primary opponent she has all but ignored through most of her campaign, is having an effect — though probably not the one she intended.

Sanders’s underdog campaign said it is seeing a surge of contributions as a direct result of the new attention it is getting from the Democratic front-runner, with money coming in at a clip nearly four times the average daily rate reported in the last quarter of 2015.

-Washington Post-
-------
We've seen the Clintons lie, cheat, slander and embarrass themselves before the world. We've seen them corrupt the DNC. We've seen them unleash the hounds of hell, here at Daily Kos as elsewhere, attacking Bernie for all they're worth.

All their millions, billionaires and Machiavellian machinations cannot blunt or undo the political revolution that is making them irrelevant. They're simply on the wrong side of history.

Sorry Clintons. You were the problem, not the solution.

But by all means have at us. We appreciate the help.

and at the very least admit it's too close to call anyone a 'front-runner'

Cent certainly minces no words about Bernie now being the front-runner.

about as much as a pile of cat shit.

With that said, less than half of the population will even vote in the GE, much less the primary. We'll see what the voters actually start saying in a couple of weeks.

I think you'll have a sad.

Partly due to the smug arrogance acting like she and her husband OWN the party and Liberals are the common enemy they share with Republicans.

If Bernie wins two of three of the first primaries in the early states, there is a good chance that some of Hillary's delegates will switch to Bernie especially considering that Bernie fares better in the polls against the likely Republican candidates than does Hillary.

Bernie's speech on Wall Street and banking really turned the tide somewhat I believe.

The other does not. Unfortunately, Hillary doesn't understand that she's not going to motivate people who say they support her to get off their tushes and make her the nominee just on name recognition alone. Going negative and spreading lies and disinformation about other candidates isn't going to provide that motivation. Her only chance is to somehow try to turn her Wall Street ties into something exciting that the average voter is going to want to support.

But seeing a venue that size filled with tons of people is so incredibly inspiring. But I worry about the delegates who may be uncommitted or have gone to Hillary. Certainly some of them must think the Bernie train has more juice than what they have already sided with. I hope someone can post some info on delegates and how Bernie would get some of the Super Delegates.
