Message from James Carville

Last edited Sat Jan 16, 2016, 02:30 PM - Edit history (1)

Received the following emailed message from James Careville

I spend a lot of time with Republicans -- heck, I'm married to one! -- and I've noticed something. Lately, their favorite politician is Bernie Sanders!

They tweet every poll that shows he's close and they talk up every fundraising record he breaks. Karl Rove’s super PAC defended him the other day, and Donald Trump has been talking about how much he’d love to square off against Bernie in the fall.

Now let’s think about this for a second: Why would Trump be excited to face Bernie Sanders in a general election?

Simple: The Republicans know that Hillary Clinton is their worst nightmare in November, and they'd give their left arms to see her get knocked off in the primary.

1) They want to go up against Sanders in the general, as it's clear we won't be vetting him in the primary.
2) They believe he will cripple the economy, do very little in other areas, which would be a huge win for them.

I don't think she thought it would be necessary. Looks like it is starting to happen now. Some quotes from Sanders and some things he has done aren't even allowed to be discussed at DU. They have been hidden over and over again. I can tell you one commercial the repubs are going to run that will most likely end his campaign. This is well known but not allowed to be discussed here. To be clear, I am talking about his own words. I believe you will start seeing more of it now that the polls are close.

Republicans who want to help the rich keep robbing you, or Sanders who wants to give your family a fighting chance, affordable health care, and free college tuition.

Gonna be a tough call.

Republicans are scared to death to run against someone that actually represents "We the People".

The only question remaining is will Bernie win all 50 states?

As well as many others. Regarding Hillary she has NO chance of winning KS and I'm sure most of the Hillary supporters will say it doesn't matter.
You bet your ass it matters. Bernie taking most, if not all, of the swing states along with some of the states Republicans thought were a lock will have an effect. Well then it will be time to sit up and take notice, for the Republicans and the DNC in general. Especially with the former we better steer hard against the voter fraud measures they try to jinn up after this because, BELIEVE ME, they will take these actions.

The republicans also know that Hillary would motivate a lot of their base to get out and vote, to as Lucianne Goldberg said , to "march barefoot on broken glass" if need be to settle the old scores they have against her. Hey Carville, still apologize for all the nasty stuff you said about Obama in 2008?

39. Bernie Sanders 'Destroys' Donald Trump By 13 Points, 6 More Than Clinton. Here's Why
Fri Jan 15, 2016, 04:58 PM
Jan 2016
01/08/2016
According to a December 22, 2015 article in The Hill titled In blockbuster poll, Sanders destroys Trump by 13 points, Bernie Sanders would achieve a "landslide of epic proportions" against The Donald. The article explains that within "the new Quinnipiac poll, Clinton would defeat Trump by 7 percentage points... while the Sanders lead of 13 points would bring a landslide of epic proportions." In October, I wrote an article titled Bernie Sanders Defeats Trump By a Wider Margin Than Clinton in a General Election, when polls months ago dispelled the myth that Hillary Clinton could perform better than Sanders on a national stage.

As for why Bernie Sanders defeats Trump by a wider margin, there are numerous reasons, however all of these explanations narrow down to one central theme in 2016. Because of Clinton's negative favorability ratings and ties to Trump, I explain why only Sanders can defeat him in this YouTube video.

If voters want a conservative on war, foreign policy, and Wall Street, they'll vote for a Republican, not a "moderate" Democrat with neoconservative advisers. This isn't the 90's and progressive values aren't a liability to the Democratic Party. Ending mass incarceration and wealth inequality are mainstream issues, and gay marriage is a right, despite the convenient evolution (Clinton opposed gay marriage up until 2013) of certain Democrats.

As for mass incarceration, Hillary Clinton accepted campaign donations from two major prison lobbyists, but will now apparently donate this money to charity. Because a moderate Democrat like Clinton needs to continually evolve from a conservative viewpoint to a progressive stance (I highlight why Clinton evolves so often in this YouTube segment), truly moderate voters, or conservative-leaning independents, would more likely choose Trump.

(to know what they are up to), all their top pundits are pushing the "hillary is the nom" meme. why? because they are DYING to run against her. they can read polls. bernie will wipe the floor with any of the repubs, while hillary will very likely lose, and they will have a grand time making her life hell.

they are dismissing bernie now more than ever, which tells me they do NOT want to run against him. they can tell where the wind is blowing in this country. the revolution is coming.

I have Republican, Independent and NPA friends and THEY too are gravitating toward Bernie, not all of them to be truthful but some are. They can't stand what's being offered up to them on their side.

I also think this IS a manufactured ATTACK AD comparing Bernie with Trump! Keep it up, fighting this way against Bernie is going to backfire! If they want to support him it could be that they've begun to see Trump's an empty suit with nothing more to offer than braggadocio without policies with substance.

Having said that, I'm NOT SURE I really believe these "R's" are Trump supporters. How would anyone really know? I want to see a link with ONE person saying this OUT LOUD! I suspect there are very, very few, if any. I call this a load of CRAP!
