From Rebecca Leber:
At commercial break, Clinton and Sanders turn to chat with each other, O'Malley stormed off unnoticed.

There are going to be some harsh words after this debate, I think.

(5,217 posts)I don't know how those assholes can sleep at night inviting him to participate then freezing him out of the questioning.
Bjornsdotter
(6,123 posts)He should have had equal time to speak. I would have liked to hear his points on the issues.

(18,628 posts)...but he seems to have a unique talent where he speaks in detail, and five seconds later I forgot what he said.
I don't know why that is, and I can't put a finger on it, but he seems very likable and intelligent. He's just not very engaging, and perhaps that's why he polls so low. Just not ready for the big leagues.

(502 posts)Here in Ohio he flamed out miserably. He was supposed to collect up to 3,000 signatures to get on the ballot, he turned in less than 1,200. Less than 1,000 of those were valid which is what you need to get on the ballot. Then he missed the deadline to file to get on the ballot as a write-in candidate by 16 hours! That's not flubbing the 3 AM phone call, that's sleeping through it. He is not ready for prime time.

(253 posts)If they weren't going to ask him any questions they shouldn't have invited him. That was truly dispicable what they did to him.

(46,179 posts)deserve equal talk time. I feel O'Malley's frustration. It's not new, though, and it's not just O'Malley.
This happens at every primary debate.
I appreciated Chris Dodd's talk clock in '08, even though I wasn't supporting him.
