Did you catch that? Now we know where his supporters get that from.

(90,335 posts)... possible then act like Obama'a coalition is stupid for not supporting him.
They still think everyone hates Obama and Hillary as much as they do
I picked up on that as well. Apparently he thinks it takes them a little longer.

Tell Hillary to get out of her #ObamaSnuggie (young AAs are using that on social media).

(53,032 posts)It was his worst performance of the four debates.

(3,649 posts)No way. Not even close.
R B Garr
(16,950 posts)It was definitely his worst performance. He clearly gets upset at being challenged outside his zone.
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)The camera caught real human emotions on Bernie's face as she lied and hammered, etc. At first I thought it was for Hillary, but it showed Bernie as a real person with feelings.
R B Garr
(16,950 posts)childish. It made him look totally out of his league. This is politics. If he can't stand up to scrutiny, he shouldn't be there. He's not a victim.
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)parts of Obama is his ability and willingness to show emotions. Bernie does it, but differently. When someone lies about you, what should you do...rebut it, let it go or just chuckle at it.
R B Garr
(16,950 posts)that you are making Bernie a victim and everything he does is somehow Clinton's fault. He's a grown man. His facial exaggerations are his responsibility and his doing. If he can't handle debate and scrutiny, he shouldn't be there.
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)a human to respond. Ms. Plastic's face never moved. But then no one stooped to her level. Bernie did attempt to correct her half-truths and lies. What he should just let her have her way? I want a President who's more then It's Show Time. I'[m impressed when we see tears on Obama's face...when his pain shows...when he plays with little kids. Some think that's (you can fill in the word) or not Presidential.
"everything he does is somehow Clinton's fault?" Had to reread my post. You sound like her.
Exaggerations...not present.
Don't put words in my mouth followed up by "talking points" and hyperbole that's old. I don't mind disagreement and discussion, but this? Pfft.
DisgustipatedinCA
(12,530 posts)He ignored the word liar--and that's the word that is going to keep her from ever being the President.
R B Garr
(16,950 posts)You should take your own advice about lies and exaggerations and stop it. You are the one who showed up to badger me, not the other way around, but this irrationality is sadly commonplace now with the BS supporters.
Bernie is not a victim. Quit making it out like he was victimized and quit harassing me with your myopic Bernie fandom. Sick of it.
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)And it seems most, if not all of the MSM agree with me after last night. Bernie is presidential material. I don't think the term "myopic" has any hint of viability in this context?
Let me rephrase what it seems is upsetting, Bernie is presenting a new direction to the Democratic Party, and likely the nation. And many of us like it, as opposed to the same-old same-old. He is doing something no other candidate has done in decades...creating a vision and champion the "little people" while disavowing the Corporate Overlords who could care less. And the MSM is now reporting it. That's the shock.
Myopic vision doesn't "get" a visionary. That is by definition...not just my opinion.
(one more thing...I did not know it was bad form to respond to a poster that had not responded first. DU would not be here for that "rule".)
R B Garr
(16,950 posts)last night. There's more that I could say, but my post would be hidden because of the Berniebros here; whereas you can indulge in vulgar name calling and call people liars and you can get away with calling Clinton nasty names, so you do it. Says a lot about the character of people who like to dish it out knowing that the responses have to be tepid or they will be hidden.
Unfortunately, I can't call Bernie a liar or my post would be hidden. But he's phony, that's for sure. Lots of press and media are seeing through BS's phoniness and lack of Presidential demeanor. How about I read and believe what I want, and you do the same.
Bernie couldn't name a Wall Street exec he would prosecute, so his phony diatribes are just applause lines. Who cares if you buy into it.
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)But just for Shits and Giggles, what is his one-trick?
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)not automatons. That's probably why Bernie is the Man of the People, while HRC is the Woman of the Goldman Sachs, et al.

That's our choice, seems. It's almost like it's Goldman Sachs vs The Unions/workers/Middle Class (pretty much synonymous) or some such divide. We know who has been winning that contest.
Time to take the first steps in turning that around. We've not had the voice...especially since Goldman Sachs became a person. Now we do.

(6,960 posts)Not even arguable in my opinion.
Almost all of the discussion revolved around Sen. Sanders' issues, ideas, proposals, and arguments.
He displayed the passion and energy of a President of the United States that will fight for me.
Mrs. Clinton was indeed the spokesperson for the status quo -- she was the Eisenhower Republican of this debate.

(6,145 posts)The networks and moderators have treated him as a sideshow until now and suddenly the consensus has changed. Spotlight was on Bernie, he earned it and he nailed his message down.

(13,877 posts)Certainly didn't cost us anything, and if you look at ALL the MSM comments...almost all called Bernie the Winner. And all of them have poo-pooed and/or ignored him in the past and up until now.
He's earned his position the good old fashioned hard way...from the bottom up. That impresses many people and then the MSM began to cover him. Suddenly he's all the rage. He's new. He's fresh (nationally speaking). He's honest. He's trustworthy. He's consistent. No wonder he has the gravitas to lead a revolution of the middle class. Someone who won't sell them/us out. Lord know, what's left of it is in dire need.

(12,504 posts)....to suddenly think his opinion is of any value. But it seems the hypocricy of warm fuzzies vs. demonization here on DU is completely dependent up the like or dislike of one Bernie Sanders. Substance and history mean absolutely nothing here anymore. Thanks for the shining example.
