Honesty is one of the most important qualities in a candidate. I won't support candidates who lie.

I don't like the lies, but this is hardball politics, and lies are part and parcel, so I try to shrug them off.

(6,282 posts)I can't believe any of the people on the stage really believes that the pay gap for women is 21-23 cents on the dollar. But i accept that that is the zeitgeist of the conversation and the real facts are more complicated. There are a host of issues involved from family leave to actually addressing the real gap(which is likely to be closer to 7 cents).
Of course, Hillary Clinton lies about core political principles and basic facta of her history in governance so i find it impossible to support her.

(72,790 posts)But realize that untruthfulness is part of the process. Always has been and probably always will be. Politicians are never 100 percent honest about anything.

I can't begin to imagine why 63 people who viewed this didn't want to vote. Sure, I understand that all DU polls have some non-participation associated with them, but these numbers are a little out of the norm. And they do tell a story.
