I actually have pretty decent, affordable insurance and it still estimates that I would save over $2000 and my employer over $9000!

I can't help it that our idiotic news media can't read a proposal or use a calculator.



(Not your fault, of course, but try the calculator the other poster linked to. It really is eye opening. I'm one of the lucky few whose company pays my health insurance premiums, even though I have high co-pays and deductibles, and I STILL save nearly $1,000 a year. My company would save about $9,000!! Businesses should LOVE this plan!)

There used to be a thing, of which we were proud to be, a "tax and send liberal." It is how we provide for the people.

Thank you, Bernie, for not shying away and not hiding because the republicans have made social services a bad word.

Also, making more money always increases the percentage of gross income paid -- that's the nature of a progressive tax system.

He needs a short simple sentence to explain it.

The word taxes has become poisonous. As soon as he said it, I knew this would happen. People hear that word and they shut down.
