The song - written early in the Beatles career by George Harrison was PROTESTING the high marginal tax rate. That was before he became the one who was most committed to Indian religion.

That's what everyone should be pissed about. So much of our tax dollars go right to the top. I'd be willing to be most of the 1% are way in the black on tax dollars. Look at corporate officers that do a lot of business with federal and state governments. They definitely come out ahead compared to what they ever pay in. The right investments do that for the big players too.

It's really like the middle ages where the ruling class lived off taxing the peasants. They have the half-wits believing the 1% are taxed too much though. I have just an average Joe type job in the medical field working for a blood center. It's not federal income tax dollars I rake in though, it's Medicare and Medicaid. Same principal though. What they pay for blood transfusions that ends up in my paycheck probably equals the taxes I pay out at least. I'd be pretty stupid to go along with any cuts to those programs wouldn't I?
