Iowa Student Shoots Down Theory That He Was A Plant At Dem Town Hall

By SARA JERDE
JANUARY 26, 2016, 2:31 PM EST

An Iowa student who participated Monday night in CNN's Democratic presidential town hall denied that his softball question for Hillary Clinton was scripted, as many Twitter users had speculated.

Brett Rosengren, who identified as an undecided voter, asked Clinton which former President inspired her most and why. He began his question by addressing Clinton as "Sec. Sanders," referring to Clinton's rival Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), before correcting himself.

"I can see why they gave you this question," he said.

That pronoun choice sparked speculation on Twitter that Rosengren's question was scripted and the entire town hall was a sham.

<...>

But on Tuesday, Rosengren clarified on Twitter that he had submitted the question himself:

Thanks everyone for the love! For those wondering, it was my own question that I previously submitted directed to any candidate #DemTownHall

1. He also claimed to be a follower of Sanders on social media and had a website for Sanders.

Either way Hillary educated the little snarky goober.
It was a stupid question and his intent to demean her with a Bernie FB worthy question backfired.
What a loser, really that's the most intelligent question he could come up with for the Sec of State? The "Most Admired Woman in the World".

HRC totally humiliated him on the National Stage.
Rightfully so.

Clinton Most Admired Woman for Record 20thTime

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Americans again name Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama the woman and man living anywhere in the world they admire most. Both win by wide margins over the next-closest finishers, Malala Yousafzai for women and Pope Francis and Donald Trump for men.

Doubt it means anything to some however.
But, yes its true.

9. If this is how you treat undecided voters, it's not going to be very successful.

He's just some nervous guy that wanted to ask her what her favorite President was!

What a "duh" moment to claim your 30 seconds of TV fame.
He should just stay on FB.

2. No one claimed he was a plant. The claim was that CNN provided him with the question and told him

who to ask the question of.

Because a plant, of course, would be someone told by the network to whom the question should be directed, and for whom the question was provided.

This is completely the opposite.

bites the dust.

It seems that it is impossible for some to believe that a LOT of people really do like Hillary.

Whatever this individual's motives for being there, I am glad that he was at the TH and asked his own question.
