rethuglican party plans to steal 5 million or more votes this year

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/01/12/1054074/-5-Million-Voters-to-be-Kept-From-Voting?via=spotlight

Republicans' efforts to suppress the votes of eligible voters who tend to vote Dem has been one of the main arrows in their quiver since President Obama was elected in November 2008. I think they took a look at the voting results in that election and said, "We can't let this happen again"; and one of their solutions was, "We need to make it harder for those who traditionally pull the lever for Democrats to vote." This is why numerous Republican–controlled state legislatures and governors' offices changed voting rules in 2011 in ways that erected significant obstacles to students, the elderly, people of color, legal immigrants, the poor, and disabled to be able to cast a ballot in the 2012 election.

One prominent study speculates that 5 million voters – more than the margin of victory in the last two presidential races – will be kept from voting in 2012 (link below). This could be a major problem for Dems. Please follow me over the fold.

So, he made it clear from the start, he was ignoring poor, mostly liberal voters.

If the GOP now goes out and ensures those poor liberal voters can NOT vote, he only has himself to blame.

I think that is why he moves to the right. He has allowed the right to put in Jim Crow laws and now he knows the only people whose votes are counted are conservative.

probably longer than we realize...but Democrats and particullary Democrats in Congress vowed that we would have election laws overhauled so that 2000 would never happpen again..Well it happened again in 2004..The majority was so huge in 2008 not much Repukes could do..If this election is close we lose..There are more states lead by Repukes this cycle so thre are more options...Apparently Democrats dont care about free elections because when they had the Majority they sat on their hands and watched as the minority party blocked any and all legislation..Democrats may talk aboout "every vote being counted" but they watch as the votes are hauled away to dumpsters.

There have only been something like 40 cases of voter fraud. Election Fraud is much more prevalent.
The Republicans want us to believe voter fraud is a problem. No, it's their Election Fraud.
Please do not confuse the two.

republicans cover up is much easier..so a close election in those could be easily switched over to Republican candidate..like Wisconsin where that witch tampered with the votes but escaped any prosecution.

The title is misleading..."Stealings votes" mean adding to your total. Voter suppression is problematic, and the Brennan Center's efforts are well warrented, but the poster should not use the phrase "stealing" in the title.
