Doesn't mean I'd vote for Hillary, though.

(1,464 posts)I personally think the Clintons are both equally sleazy and have no interest in hearing either of them lie to me in person. But, if Obama was speaking on behalf of Hillary, I'd be there in a heartbeat to hear Obama (and then leave before Hillary speaks).

(7,318 posts)Enthusiastic support for your candidate is good, but hyperbole like that and complacency this primary season has not been good for your candidate. It has allowed Sanders to steam ahead under the radar to frontrunner or near-frontrunner status.

I am betting that the daily total is in Bernie's favor.
More importantly, Cruz doesn't know the difference between kindling and tinder.

(20,629 posts)While the Democratic presidential candidate was about an hour late for his campaign event at Grand River Center, an enthusiastic crowd of 1,300 people greeted him when he arrived.
"It sounds like Dubuque is ready for a political revolution," the senator from Vermont said to the crowd that had chanted his name while waiting for him to arrive.
Sanders' stop in Dubuque came hours after his main Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, hosted a campaign event at Five Flags Center. Clinton's event drew about 460 people. Polls show the two as the clear front-runners among the Democratic presidential candidates. The Iowa caucuses will be held Monday.

We may as well stay home now.

Shai'it'lry is Bern'd so bad, the toast is beyond being edible. Just this week Chelsea had to reduce $2600 per dinner plate, to $60; and her mom couldn't even fill a room, in Iowa, that holds 1000 ppl. Pic at link above....
Meanwhile, Senator Sanders is beating Obama's record for number of donations and crowds.

(1,464 posts)Hillary had a poor crowd earlier in the day when she was on her own. There's a reason the only Hillary event that has outdrawn Sanders featured Bill heavily. He is more popular than Hillary by far. And interestingly enough, the media interviewed people at the last Bill solo event in Iowa and a large part of the crowd had just come out to see an ex-President but were backing Sanders or O'Malley.

(10,565 posts)were all saying that having Bill on the campaign trail was a huge negative. Not so much I guess. People remember eight years of peace and prosperity although many on DU will tell us what a failure his Presidency was-like what they say about Obama's
