I'm genuinely sorry for your candidate. He wasn't my candidate but I've always seen you guys as decent and sincere folks.

(1,464 posts)I thought everyone would be a letdown as I consider Obama the best president of my lifetime easily. But, then I heard O'Malley stand up for the child refugees that the Obama admin was going to send back to Central America and I fell in love with his passion for protecting those kids.
O'Malley was the best candidate in history on immigration and refugee issues. His voice will be sorely missed in this campaign where too often those issues are ignored or treated as not important to anyone but Latino voters.
I am truly heartbroken by his dropping out. I am still planning on voting for O'Malley in my Minnesota caucus (which is actually just like a primary) and hope that we will see more of him in the future.

(1,464 posts)The Senate race and it will likely be years before another one opens up. A House race is too little for him. He's already been Mayor and Governor.
Unless he gets a great cabinet post or the head of the DNC, he is going to have to go into private sector. And once they go into private sector, you never hear from them again. So sad.
