$1000 or I think it's a couple hundred signatures to get on the ballot.

So what?

They can also write in any name they like too.

This is a thoroughly unremarkable feature of elections, that names appear on ballots even after candidates have stopped running, or in some instances, DIED:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Carnahan

A Democrat, he served as the 51st Governor of Missouri (1993-2000) and was elected posthumously to the U.S. Senate.

There are people who voted for dead candidates KNOWING they were voting for dead candidates.

The idea that people cast their votes on the basis of some sort of rational process is, by and large, utter fiction.

But, no, O'Malley will be on a lot of ballots going forward. It's not some sneaky scheme to siphon votes. It's just procedural inertia.

people vote absentee, overseas ballots etc. NC ballots have already gone out for our 15 Mar. primary. O'Malley is likely on them.

They have 6% precincts reporting (about 21,000 votes counted)--almost all purple (for Bernie) in the Dem map:

Bernie 57.5%
Hillary 41.4%

(Note: site glitch, just look below Hillary's name for her %.)

with 9.9% precincts reporting. (Did Bernie lose 6 %-pts on .1% of votes counted? Not likely. Is somebody skewing reporting of results? I'm not looking at NH state cite.)
