He was a nobody when he made this. I don't think anybody thought he would go on to be as big as he is now.

As I recall, Siskel and Ebert were instrumental in getting attention for this film.

At least nobody who can do anything about it, the rich management types who fire people to make money. Eventually they cut their own throats and wonder why the whole town is economically dead.
