Comcast Rolls Over for Hillary
In June, Comcast executive vice president David Cohen hosted a $2,700-a-plate fundraiser for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. On the first weekend in October, the NBC Universal in-kind contributions really kicked in: a star turn on "Saturday Night Live," a Sunday morning interview with Rev. Al Sharpton, and a Monday town hall meeting on the "Today" program.
Amazing the things you learn about on twitter....

(2,565 posts)A show that gets what.. 3-4 million viewers on a good week is a "prime spot".
An episode of Epic Rap Battles of history gets 5x those numbers in terms of exposure.
itsrobert
(14,157 posts)That's where the money and the viewers are. In fact, Bernie's appearance on SNL trended on all the social media outlets for days gathering Tens of millions views.
I'm sure you probably knew that already.
basselope
(2,565 posts)no... thats not even REMOTELY accurate on any front.
The clip got less than 1 million views and digital media is NOT where the REAL money is... not by a longshot.
clips get $5 cpm if they are lucky... on air gets $50 cpm
so that clip would have to get 40 mm views to get close.
Where u clintonites come up with this stuff is amazing... internet clips is where the real money is. LMAO.

(7,499 posts)HRH got to go last and and in the meantime hear all Bernie's comments so she could offer rebuttal. The candidate who goes last should not be able to hear the other candidate's comments because it gives an unfair advantage.

(449 posts)While changing campaign finance laws wouldn't do anything to discourage this behavior in the future you can bet Hillary won't do anything to bite the hand that feeds. A courtship like this is meant to curry favor. It's lobbying, minus the lobbyists.

You don't have to look very hard to find them.
It doesn't matter, though, because she is tanking her own campaign all by herself with no outside involvement necessary.

(140 posts)I think she gives Sanders a fair shake. She very often seems to avoid the whole issue, however. She'll talk about the GOP, or Flint, or other topics. But, this has always been her deal. She did a series of shows on how they transport military grade plutonium. She is at least consistent, and I don't feel like she is shilling for Hillary. There are definable topics she will avoid, but, I enjoy her reporting and, though, I wish sometimes she'd go all the way with the progressive feelings I know she has, I like her perspective. Go Bernie!

Here is the same info from a blog site that looks like a Bernie support site.
http://bud-meyers.blogspot.com/2015/11/comcast-nbc-cnbc-and-msnbc-endorses.html
Comcast: NBC, CNBC and MSNBC endorses Hillary Clinton
MSNBC is owned by Comcast. Earlier this year Comcast was forced to abandon a $45 billion Time Warner Cable acquisition after spending more than $400 million on lawyers, lobbyists, and consultants. Two months later Comcast executive vice president David Cohen hosted a $2,700-a-plate fundraiser for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. Since the FCC blocked Comcast's attempted acquisition of Time Warner Cable, the cable giant probably wants a new U.S. President who will appoint a new FCC boss who will gut the new net neutrality rules.
