2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDoes anyone else like Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt as much as I do?
It's amazing stuff!
No artificial sweeteners. No added sugar. Only 100 calories and 15 grams of protein.
It's like dessert.
New flavors too. The salted caramel is TO DIE FOR; and the coffee flavor is delicious (if you like coffee).
(Sorry, for the yogurt public-service message. I just felt that we all needed a break from the crazy).

(24,411 posts)Love Fage. Expensive, but worth it.
What do you do with it?
I use it to replace sour cream.
Mix it with PB2; or half of the Oikos Triple Zero; or organic cocoa with a stevia.
I also make an awesome potato soup with Fage. Substitute Fage for heavy cream. No fat, and it's still creamy. Plus, the added protein is a bonus.

(11,785 posts)Or make fruit compote with whatever's on sale and spoon it over the plain yogurt for dessert. I like most of the fruit flavors, too, especially the raspberry and the cherry-pomegrante. The strawberry flavor is too sweet for my liking, but that's true of any brand.

(20,043 posts)It's one of the things my son eats it after working out, because it has so much protein in it.
He just tried the salted caramel and really liked it. He likes banana & peach too. Didn't care for the chocolate.

(24,411 posts)It's the only yogurt my teenage daughters will eat. They love it.
I saw the new salted caramel and coffee and had to try them.
I liked the chocolate, but our kids didn't.
The banana is great too. Tastes like banana Laffy Taffy--which is a big win.

(24,411 posts)Even better with sprinkles!
Serious habit indeed! It's good for you though...and the protein is so filling.

Full fat of course!

(29,251 posts)Tastes really fresh and not gummy sticky like some of the others. If you get an individual size flavor, go for the cherry, just OMG good.

I'll have to try that caramel & coffee flavors.

I wonder if Greek yogurt took off in the U.S. because people like me
who have actually visited Greece (and fell in love with the yogurt - a very common
breakfast food there, among other things) returned to the U.S. and started searching
everywhere for a source here in the U.S. where I could buy it?
Fage became so popular here that the company finally opened a production plant here.

(2,674 posts)I am buying Brown Cow yogurt now. Use to buy Mt. High yogurt, it's still my fave, but can find it around here anymore. I like plain yogurt with no sugar or flavors added. I eat it for breakfast with some fruit added. Also use for cooking and making salad dressings.
