New Florida Poll (PPP): Clinton 57 - Sanders 32

Clinton's particularly strong among African Americans with whom she leads 68/26, but she's also up 54/34 with whites and 54/40 with Hispanics. Clinton also benefits from Florida having an older Democratic primary electorate- her 66/23 advantage with seniors takes her further here than it does other places. Another thing working to Clinton's advantage is Florida having a closed primary- we've consistently found her up big with Democrats but Sanders' strength with independents cuts significantly into her lead in open primary states. 85% of Clinton's supporters say they're firmly committed to her, compared to 61% of Sanders' who say the same for him.

Time to go post another thread in the AA forum about how blacks are voting against their own interests. Damn PoC.

In spite of Bernie's words that suggest he's going to take it "all the way" to the convention, I can't help but to view such declarations as simply being words of encouragement to his supporters (rather than an actual pledge to ignore the reality of the numbers).

Even though I do think he's not the right person for the job, I've NEVER thought he was unintelligent. Obviously, he'll can see (and will continue to see) the same numbers that we do. He'll likely stay in the race until it's mathematically impossible for him to secure the nomination.

And even then, in order to calculate whatever "mathematic possibility" there may be, I anticipate that Bernie and his fans will need to do so the absurdly unlikely assumption that he wins 100% of the delegates in key states. (It's not going to happen, of course, but mathematically speaking, it's a "possibility".)

Go, Hillary! We love you!
