First Results! New Zealand expats have voted

http://www.mangofeed.com/bernie-sanders-wins-70-points-first-super-tuesday-results/

First Super Tuesday results:
Sanders 21 – Clinton 6

-------------------------------
Americans in New Zealand might be the first one to change the game for the US primary elections, something that could be the turning point in the democratic race.

The result are astounding with Bernie Sanders beating Hillary Clinton by 3 to 1.

New Zealand was the first of 39 countries where Democrats Abroad took part in the voting process. Other will host in-person voting between March 1-8; voting sites will open in 22 countries on Super Tuesday alone, and in 104 cities throughout the week.

Kat Allikian, Chair of Democrats Abroad New Zealand, said,

“Democrats in New Zealand have made the first contribution to what could be a decisive day in U.S. Primary elections”

Voting took place at the Public Bar and Eatery in Wellington at midnight local time, with the announcement made at 12:30 AM Wellington time.

Very few vote in the Democrats Abroad Primary. In 2008, only around 23,000 expats voted in the Democrats Abroad Primary. it is estimated that 3 to 8+ million Americans live abroad.

I voted by Absentee Ballot.

--the writer is not that clueless. Everybody knows the odds for Super Tuesday.

I think it means that it may be a drop in the bucket right now, but if Sanders does carry on and win in the long run --it will have been a prophetic vote. Prophetic, in the symbolic sense, not the literal sense.

They do have a voice. The Maori Party has reps in government. You don't change racism overnight but there's cause for optimism. It's better (not worse, like here).

Stay tuned.

Capitalism to the point where one of my right wing friends was going to move there. He was quiet when I mentioned their health plan. Which is not so thorough. They still have to buy insurance or pay medical bills.
