Would they actually do something like this?

Wouldn't the situation logically call for rallying behind Bernie? Why shoehorn someone else in at this point?

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/monitor_breakfast/2016/0310/Should-a-black-woman-fill-Supreme-Court-vacancy-What-Al-Sharpton-says

At the breakfast, a reporter asked Sharpton what the Democratic Party would do if Mrs. Clinton, the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, were indicted as a result of ongoing investigations into how she handled State Department e-mails. Sharpton first stressed, “I don’t think she is” going to be indicted, noting the former secretary of State’s strong denial of the possibility in Wednesday night’s Democratic debate with Sen. Bernie Sanders.

“In case she is wrong,” Sharpton said, Democrats “would have to have someone who could unify the party quickly.” He added, “Just shooting from the hip, I think there is a very fresh face around the corner – Joe Biden. Is that fresh enough for you?”

When pressed for other possibilities who could step in, Sharpton mentioned Secretary of State John Kerry, former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, and South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn.

Then he said, “I think that a candidacy by [Massachusetts Sen.] Elizabeth Warren would be electrifying.”

If this new person, let's say Biden, became the nominee, he would have a terrible time getting the Bernie supporters to "fall in line".

I can't see any upside to that strategy unless they hate Bernie so much that they'd rather throw the GE. Makes no sense.

8. It would be such a blatant slap in the face to every single Bernie supporter.

I don't see it doing anything to 'unify' anyone. Not to mention that most of the folks he mentioned wouldn't even win as much of the female vote. Bernie's campaign is electrifying already, so I'm not sure why he's bringing up Warren to oppose Bernie, especially since her stated policies are largely similar.

10. Nailed it. They need someone who is for sale. Billionaires believe they are better than the rest

of us. Being told no would infuriate them. They don't care if a letter 'D' or 'R' is in the White House as long as they are for sale.

That's why both Bernie and Trump make them nervous. They are shit scared that they won't kiss billionaires asses.

Ask federal inmate number 29396-058 aka Patrick Damon Cannon about that. People down here in NC said oh he will never be indicted. Yet he was and is now serving time. FBI do not play around with corruption charges because besides anti terrorism efforts that is pretty much all they do any more. They don't even bother with anti-Rico stuff much. And there is a chance that Hillary had done that. Not saying she did or not, but if you take money like has been going on for years we as outsiders never know and can't really say one way or the other, but there is the chance because she has revived questionable money.

Sharpton replaced Cenk Uygur on MSNBC because Cenk asked too many questions and would not bow to corporate over lords.

11. I am not "falling in line" behind anyone but Bernie.

Anyone who thinks the ENTHUSIASM can be transferred is a fool. I would not walk across the street to see Hillary or Biden or the others, except for Warren. And I cannot imagine Warren would consent to attempting to push Bernie out.

Doesn't Deval Patrick work with Bain Capital? Gosh, I could see him running as Romney's VP.
Biden as a "fresh face"? OMFG. Why not just pronounce the Third Way a person, and have that organization run for president? Be honest about the whole intent.
