In Michigan, Hillary won 57% of the voters who identified themselves as Democrats while in Massachusets, she won 60% of that demographic. Based on that, she ought to do quite well in the above states.

There was a flurry of party registrations before the deadline so we will have to see.

(14,255 posts)the clerk said there had been a LOT of young people doing that. Seems most of the young ones had been registered as non-affiliated, since they did not care to identify with either party at the time they initially registered.
We voted for Bernie today, at our local library!

(10,164 posts)Only the GOP primary is open. Usually I vote in it, just to pick the least-electable candidate.
This year, I re-registered Democrat to vote for Bernie this May (and, hopefully, in November).
