(10,650 posts)Nothing she has done will change their position. She could name Kissinger her VP pick and they'd spin it as a stroke of genius.

(10,622 posts)Position she has changed, and then, changed, and then changed again.
Or is it like a random issue generator driven not by a random algorithm, but by whatever view she happens to hold that day or minute? That might be very helpful in keeping up to date on which one I will be voting for or not on the day of my primary vote.

(5,126 posts)off the top of my head - my perception at the moment:
Bernie - his strengths are in his straight-forward message, anti-establishment, more progressive, seen as more honest. His campaign has more energy and enthusiasm. not hawkish, anti-offsourcing
weakness/risk: Socialist (not many Americans understand Democratic Socialist vs Communist, vs Fascist) less alliances within the party, not as vetted
Hillary - experience, establishment (this could potentially be a strength against Trump), she and Bill do have a lot of strength within the party. She is seen as more in the middle and maybe some disaffected moderate indys and Rs would crossover to stop Trump., possibility to elect the first woman POTUS, very vetted
weakness/risk: establishment (in an anti-establishment cycle) trade deals, the investigations, seen as untrustworthy
If the Dem party fully backs a Bernie candidacy and the party and OFA infrastructure organize for him, I think at this point I would give the advantage to Bernie.
What I do know is that I will be volunteering for either candidate in the general to beat Trump.
I'm still hoping for a brokered convention and the R party being in a meltdown. In that case, I think Bernie would have a big advantage against an establishment R.

(504 posts)If Hillary wins the nomination, you're supporting a candidate who supports global warming (aka fracking). Good job mate....hope your descendants don't hate you when the coasts are underwater in 70 years.....

(5,126 posts)Absolutely. We're not going to agree with any politician on all issues. My politics are much more aligned with Sanders, but if Hillary is the nominee, I will volunteer for her. The big picture to me is the Supreme Court. The next President has the ability to reshape it. I would much rather Hillary appoint the SC justices than an R. The Republican elected officials know that global warming is real, but they are beholden to their corporate masters. The only way to counter that and to improve our political system to combat the money & lobbyists. The only way to do that is through the SC.
And... if it is Trump.... global warming will be exponentially increase through his wars. We have to stop Trump.
