(25,247 posts)Add a couple of tufts on top of his head. Put some wire rimmed glasses on Danny. And you have a Mini Me Bernie.

(9,314 posts)When he smiles and laughs, he makes his supporters just feel good. And he is the only candidate that truly makes his speeches enjoyable. It is a treat.

(11,945 posts)He has earned every bit of success he's currently enjoying.
I always feel a little nervous about what the opposition might try next, but we'll have his back, regardless.

(9,314 posts)We are so fortunate to having him running and representing us. I also agree that we will be ready to spring to defend him from future dirty tricks. I have been doing this from the onset, and I plan to keep it up. I am sure many other DU'ers feel the same.
You and I seem to agree on a lot of things here .... you must be an incredibly perceptive person.

(11,945 posts)Your sig line is profound and true. Thom Hartmann has studied our nation's early years and says the founders did not intend the Supreme Court to have the absolute and final power it now enjoys.

(9,314 posts)The Supreme Court was intended only to have an equal weight to the Executive Branch and an equal weight to the Legislative Branch. But Chief Judge Roberts, who quietly assisted the Bush campaign in the Florida 2000 debacle (left DC to go there and give that campaign Constitutional advice pro bono) ultimately reaped his reward when George W. Bush* gave him the Chief Judge's seat. And the mentality of that coterie dictated they could do what they wanted because no one could stop them. We see that mindset played out yet today.

(11,945 posts)These people are beyond my comprehension. The only explanation I can find for them is some kind of mental pathology.
I wish humanity could avoid these mistakes. There is so much in life to be challenged by, why must we do battle with evil, as well? (That's ok, you don't have to try to answer that.)
At least we have our heads on reasonably straight!
Let's hope for a good day tomorrow, a day with few if any mistakes, none of them fatal, and some fine and lovely victories for the good person who deserves them.
Many people thought it was wonderful when he broke from the Republicans' position and cast the deciding vote not to repeal the Affordable Care Act. He was not acting magnanimously, he was acting in his own self interests. He has a very serious health condition, and if that act had been repealed, he would have to go back to paying bigger bucks for his pre-existing condition. It is always all about him.
Yes, we can hope tomorrow is a better day. I have good feelings about Sanders' standing in some of these contests. I think he will surprise some people.
Have a good evening, senz
