(32,864 posts)If people can't see what is going on in their own lives, and vote to continue with the people doing those things, or refuse to vote at all, it will never change.
I don't honestly know what it's going to take to change. It's sad because our children will be left with terrible consequences from ignoring the climate over greed. It's just completely sickening.

(32,864 posts)Children to protect greed. It's really beyond understanding for me.

(58,785 posts)dissatisfaction as the evening progresses. How come no one here seems to know the name of even one of our many, many state Democratic Committee chairmen? Surely there are more than a few evil, anti-good bastards to go after there?

(1,706 posts)Dr. Andy McGuire, who has clearly been in the bag for Hillary. Former campaign manager, refused to audit caucus results, drives car with HRC license plates, etc.

(58,785 posts)Refusing to audit results that should be audited, if true (sorry, GD-P's record for irresponsible accusations isn't good) is bad.

(5,648 posts)Hmmm... Just imagine the Democratic Party Chairman trying to ensure that that the only Democratic candidate wins the Democratic nomination. Shocking!!!

(348 posts)With Hillary we can prove that the corporate class is funding her - her superpack shows this.
Wasserman's words only serve to protect that to continue to happen. We can't prove that she's on the take but it's kind of difficult not to only reach that conclusion. She is saying she wants the status quo to remain and happy to say that she's against grass roots activism changing the party.

(14,157 posts)She is too inept to pull anything like that off.

(643 posts)DWS is certainly one of them. Corporate media is another. Citizens United is another. And status quo democrats who voted for HRC. Any way you cut it, this is not the Democratic party that I know, or thought I knew. If HRC wins the nomination I suppose we overlook the campaign smears, outright lies, and ties to corporate America, just fall in line and vote democrat because that's what's expected?

(643 posts)just how much she is disliked within her own party. And she hasn't done herself any favors with her lies and smears. I guess we'll see, but I wouldn't feel too confident about pulling in many Sanders supporters at this point.

(80,708 posts)DWS has gone out of her way to alienate everyone from millennials to folks who dont think pot smokers should get 20 year mandatory minimum prison sentences. Save for a couple people on DU who still think she's the cat's pajamas, she's about as popular as root canals and hangovers.

(4,213 posts)This is where Sanders started to lose me. DWS was always rigging the system for Hillary, and she was doing it openly. She was practically spitting in the face of Bernie Sanders, and he just let her keep walking all over him. It showed a horrific level of weakness, and it sent the message to the rest of the establishment that they could push Sanders around.
He needed to knife Debbie--demanding that she step down, supporting her primary challenger--to send a message to the other establishment Democrats. He didn't do that. He is now reaping the results.
This is what nice gets you. Revolutions aren't tea parties. He proves, through his actions, that he not the one to lead a liberal revolution.
