2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumOn DKos, a Clinton supporter hopes Bernie stays in it all the way. Here's why.
"...Bernie has a lot of important ideas, and those ideas need to be heard. I want to hear his ideas from candidates in the future. At the very least, the Democratic Party needs to be on notice about economic inequality and the student debt crisis. We need to respect our roots as a party for people that work for a living (in addition to being a party for a lot of other groups) or were going to be in trouble. My support for Clinton exists because of issues I care about that arent related to economic inequality, as well as her stance on financial regulation. But that doesnt mean that I think that Bernie is somehow wrong. In a lot of ways hes right, and we must recognize that, and must take him, his supporters, and his ideas seriously, especially if Clinton wins the nomination...."
"...The Democratic Party must not make the same mistake weve made in the past. We cannot act as if the people who are backing Bernie dont matter. In fact, we need to adopt a lot of Bernies policies as standard party policy..."
"...If Bernie has lost the primary by the time it gets to DC, I might seriously consider casting a tactical vote for him as a Clinton supporter because I want him and his ideas taken seriously. I want the Democratic Party to pay attention to the issues that he, and his supporters, are raising, even though hes my second choice. In that circumstance Ill get to vote for Clinton in November anyway, so Ill have been able to support both of the candidates that I genuinely like..."

(14,255 posts)over to them. Hillary and the DNC would continue to ooze to the right on the Third Way carpet made of money.
Because they honestly believe "who else are they gonna vote for".

(3,017 posts)contacting me because I have been a contributor to Bernie's campaign and telling them to fuck off.
I intend on stopping the donations IF we get to a place where I am sure that he hasn't a snowball's chance.
I don't want those vultures getting one penny of my money. Although if he goes back to the Senate, I will still donate to him for his campaigns. I've been doing it for 8 years now. Why stop??

(10,437 posts)he brings much to the table that we need to have discussions about and will only make hillary a stronger candidate in November

(7,231 posts)The lesser of two evils is still evil and - in this case - a silent homophobe. I am not voting for that, no matter how many bogeymen are heading the GOP ticket.

(11,546 posts)people don't want to talk about her homophobia nor her racism. They are more subdued. Harder to catch except for her blatant disregard of the LGBT community in the 90s and the whole super predator/anti BLM displays. However both Trump and her are bigots. She is just more wily about it.

(1,250 posts)He went too nice.
He should have hammmered home the Rahm Emanuel connection for Illinois.
No more time for holding back the knives.
It's time to GUT her campaign.
You can be positive & forceful at the same time.
Hit her on her record because that's all you will need to do to stop her.

P.S.: Oh by the way. There ain't gonna BE no Hillary in November.
Bernie or Bust.

...Then why is this person a Hillary supporter? Her stance on financial regulation is what they say, but in the very next sentence go on to say that they don't think Bernie is wrong. It's just weird.

(8,203 posts)Just speculating, but what I hear locally from people who like Bernie's ideas but support Hillary or are torn is that they want more specifics from him or don't believe he can win in November.
But what do I know? I vote for the person whose policies I support.

The rest of the article is worth reading to see how it's going to be kum ba yahed.
In fact--early warning about Kum Ba Yahs ahead....get ready...feels like driving into fog...
If you get to the end of this article at the link--tell us if you buy that this writer is going to consider voting for Bernie...

(14,255 posts)Worded either very crudely, or lyrically and flowery.
I pass on both.
I rarely do ignores on individual posters, but today seems a good time to start.

(19,841 posts)this is the lyrical, flowery stuff. With the hook of, "I might vote for Sanders."
Even the Hillary supporters should see through this line right now.
Maybe later, MUCH later.

(23,272 posts)I really can't wait for HRC to get her hands on Bernie's donor list and they receive 4 million plus "fuck you's" when they run their first attempt to grab some $$$. I'll laugh along with my fuck off, send off.
You HRC supporters simply do not get it.
