2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhat the White House Really Said isn't proClinton.
The rumor-mongering on the pages of the antiSanders NYT is baseless as news and doesn't withstand even the most basic test of reason. By that I mean who else are these monied interests supporting if not Hillary? They certainly aren't fractured by their efforts to support Bernie!
So that message doesn't make a whit of sense on its face. Way to go NYT.
But we do have the Response of the White House, and according to the White House Press Secretary:
"President Obama made a case that would be familiar to all of you; which is that as Democrats move through this competitive Primary process we need to be mindful of the fact that our success in November in electing a Democratic president will depend on the commitment and ability of the Democratic party to come together behind our nominee."
I hear in that more of a warning against Clinton's scorched earth campaign alienating Bernie supporters than anything else. It's good advice that Clinton will not heed.

Thanks for the reminder.
