They are, but like really hate it when you disrupt their belief that they co-opted "progressive" as the preferred means of referring to themselves succesfully. Just look at the right wing PPI site, it has used the label Progressive since Goddess, I think the 80's.

When you shatter their re-branding they take it personal and with great umbrage.
