(1,342 posts)should be discarded by voters.
I am not allowed on any jurys because I am pro-Bernie. I wonder why. No, I don't, because the owners of DU have chosen to give power to Hill-ites and take it away from Bernie supporters. FU DU owners!

(9,086 posts)Voter fraud is a term Republicans use to challenge voters and say people are voting illegally.
That's pretty much the only meaning of the term.
I realize people are using the term because it's the closest term they have in the common vocabulary to express that there is some cheating in the election.
Maybe "election fraud" would fit better or sometimes voter suppression is the apt description.
This isn't directed at DU, but more so for rest of the internet. DU members are very savvy with election vocabulary and also quite good looking.

(13,218 posts)By the by 'voting fraud' works for me (rather than 'voter fraud').

(26,795 posts)Yep. This would not be voter fraud.
While the Repukelicans lie through their teeth about "voter fraud", they are using it correctly in claiming...ie: someone illegally voting...a "voter" who is a fraud.
"Election Fraud" broadly refers to efforts to screw with an election. And that can take many forms.

(2,479 posts)I agree, "voter fraud" is not the right term. It implies the misdeed was done by a voter, when it is typically being done by an elections official or other political actor.
Maybe "Undermining Democracy" would be a good term, too!

(26,549 posts)Voter fraud is when a voter does something wrong.
Election fraud is when election officials or the state does something wrong.

Since you opened the door, in my opinion, Hillary Clinton is often very vague, especially about the content of those high priced speeches to the banks and Wall Street, but that's just my opinion.

(22,666 posts)Voter fraud would be if a voter was trying to vote twice or some such. This is ELECTION fraud.

(19,841 posts)I've seen these little "helpers" where I am...
It would be good if they would post the video of her --as far as believing this. But I can tell you, stuff like this DOES happen. How much is coordinated, you ever know. If these things were ever really prosecuted, it would stop.
Actually this was in WA, not HI, the commenters are saying.

(30,250 posts)Just asking because every time she wins a state someone yells voter fraud. I don't recall Hillary's supporters yelling fraud when Sanders wins.
