Bernie Worship....

Bernie posted a message today, I wanted to share it, and also some of the comments people made. hope you enjoy.

All of you give me the strength to keep going every day and I thank you for that. You know, from up here, you may not know how beautiful all of you look.

Bernie, you singlehandedly brought me out of political apathy, and I will never be able to thank you enough. I've never felt this way about a politician before, but I know that's because there has never been a politician like you in my lifetime. Because of you, I no longer want to be a cynic, ever again. If I knew anything about sculpture, I would chisel a cliff with your likeness and call it a national monument. I could go on and on... But I'll stop here. Just, thank you, forever and ever.

I Believe in everything you stand for. Thank you for your honesty and backbone. You showed up just when we needed you most.

You give me hope and strength to keep living, Bernie Sanders. As a disabled American fighting just to survive, it can be hard to even face the day. But you keep me going. So THANK YOU.

I've never contributed to a politician before - I did for Bernie. I've never caucused before - I did for Bernie. At the caucus, I spoke and used my voice (even though it shook) as my 5 year old son was with me and I wanted him to see how important it is to fight for change and what you believe in. I wore my "women with Bernie" sticker all day, and when someone asked why I was supporting him, I had several powerful reasons to share. Whatever happens, thank you for finally giving me a politician I can support and believe in.

Bernie a Man like You Comes around once in a Life Time We the People cannot Thank You Enough! Salute to You the next President of These United States.SALUTE

Bernie, you inspire us. Never in my life have I seen a politician that exudes so much warmth, humanity, compassion, honesty, and integrity. YOU are beautiful Senator. (Posted by an older white man)

Bernie, from where I was standing yesterday in Madison, you looked Olympian. You have done something incredibly profound. I'm not much of a religious man by any stretch. But, I promise you this; the almighty has smiled on you. Take it from one who knows. I am your man. I dream of the day I can finally call you Mr. President. Take it all the way my friend, we are with you. Never quit and never give up. Keep fighting the good fight. Semper Fidelis (former Marine)

Right back at you, Bernie! You have restored my hope in good and it gives me strength to fight for another day. You look quite beautiful from here. Don't ever give up! We need you! Thank you for your strength and courage, and for the voice of sanity. We love you Bernie!

You inspire us Sen. Sanders, to be better. We are more beautiful than we were and we're grateful for your leadership in making that happen. Let us be the wind beneath your wings!

Love you Bernie- thank you for all you have done for us. It must be so exhausting! I couldn't do what you do mentally, physically or emotionally and I'm 35!! You are a rockstar. If you are not my next president I'm outta here

We love you Bernie Sanders!! Thank you for ALWAYS fighting for the greater good. For working to improve the lives of so many. I am in awe of your intelligence, integrity and empathy. You make us want to be better people. You are an inspiration!! I hope you know how much your efforts mean to us!! Wishing you Peace and Love

I get goose bumps just looking at you. I try to watch every rally. I feel driven by your words. You are Astonishingly pure in your motives. Your peace is felt across the world. We will not give up. We will rise to do what's right.

Never had a senator bring tears of joy to my eyes nor have I followed a presidential campaign so closely. No matter what happens, you, Mr. Sanders, have lit a fire that will, hopefully, burn brighter than before. #feelthebern

Mr. Sanders, you may never read or know this - but you have already changed the life of this 55 year old disillusioned American. I have deep and abiding respect for your honesty, commitment, dedication, and integrity. I am more passionate about your campaign and the future I want to help you bring about than I have ever been in my life. I am sending money, writing emails, and speaking to everyone I know about you. I support you 120%, and will continue to work to support you when you enter the WhiteHouse as President of the United States. The change is coming, it's here right now, and you are spearheading it.

We love you BERNIE...we got you!!! Thank you Sir for restoring my faith in humanity... love, compassion & true wisdom.... I admire your strength so much...

You made me realize that beauty! You are a one in a zillion kind of human being. You are an absolute inspiration and a wonderful, kind and genuine human being.

I think that it is funny that he waited this long to run for president. I guess it took this long to get a bunch of people together who didn't know him. The young people he attracts were not politically aware when they were younger just a few yeas ago.

hoping he would be running for at least eight years. They love that at the very least he "has started a national conversation" about the disparity of wealth. They were also following Occupy Wall St pretty closely. All three really love him, talk about him constantly. Only one of the three hates Hillary, but he will vote for her in November if he has to.

Worship implies no objective scrutiny but most of us Bernie supporters scrutinize everything before getting on the train.

I meant no offense.

It's also that I shy away from any religious connotation. I don't like the idea of worship.

has been left out in the cold for so long. No voice, no consideration, no fair share. There is not a person around here who can argue with this statement. We all know it's true. Everyone who is not among the rich and powerful is exploited and abused in this increasingly brutal society. You can't argue with that--it is fact. Here are some facts:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=post&forum=1002&pid=7701697

Bernie was supposed to be in the race to represent us in a symbolic way, to make Hillary look better, to ensure Democratic wins. But lo and behold, his message resonated and he caught fire.

"You have restored my hope in good and it gives me strength to fight for another day."

Bernie is only one voice, but a voice that is being heard by so many. It is beautiful.

Perhaps you're looking at Hillary's followers there, because they are certainly following in that manner. Bernie supporters tend to follow him based on his honesty and policies. It would seem to be a bit different for Hillary.
